Housing Oregon’s Heroes was created by Mortgage Marketplace, an independent mortgage brokerage headquartered in Salem, Oregon, with a branch in Eugene. We built the program for one reason: the people who serve our communities deserve a break when they buy or refinance a home. Educators, healthcare workers, first responders, law enforcement, military, veterans and community volunteers give a great deal. This is one way we give back.

Mike Gillett is the Founder and CEO of Mortgage Marketplace and the creator of Housing Oregon’s Heroes. A licensed mortgage broker with 30 years in the industry, Mike works with buyers and homeowners across Oregon and in the six other states where Mortgage Marketplace is licensed. He built the program because the people who serve our communities deserve a break when they buy or refinance a home.
Stacy Martinez
Stacy Martinez is Co-Owner of Mortgage Marketplace and a licensed mortgage broker serving Oregon, California, Washington and Texas. Stacy oversees Housing Oregon’s Heroes program operations, which means every hero who comes through the program gets the same attention from first call to closing. She works with first-time buyers, move-up buyers and homeowners refinancing.
Summer Freeman
Summer Freeman is the Eugene Branch Manager for Mortgage Marketplace and a licensed mortgage broker in Oregon, California, Idaho and Washington. In the mortgage industry since 1998, Summer has 28 years of lending experience and leads the program for heroes in Eugene, Springfield and the southern Willamette Valley. Her clients describe the process as clear, calm and on time.

Housing Oregon's Heroes is a program offered by Mortgage Marketplace, offering discounts on certain fees a home buyer may incur when purchasing or refinancing a home. The discounts offered under this program are available to all applicants who request the offered discounts.
