ABOUT THE PROGRAM
What Is Housing Oregon’s Heroes?
Housing Oregon’s Heroes is a loan fee discount program created by Mortgage Marketplace, an independent mortgage brokerage headquartered in Salem, Oregon. When a qualifying hero buys or refinances a home with us, we reduce or waive the loan processing fee (up to $1,095) and the credit report fee (up to $200). The program works with every loan type we offer, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and jumbo, and it can be combined with any down payment assistance you qualify for.
There is no separate application. You apply for your home loan the same way any buyer does, tell us which hero group you belong to, and the discounts are applied to your loan.
Qualifying heroes include active duty and reserve military, veterans, law enforcement professionals, firefighters and rescue professionals, first responders, healthcare professionals, education professionals, community volunteers, and surviving spouses of a fallen community hero.
Where It Is Available
The program is available on homes located in Oregon and in every other state where Mortgage Marketplace is licensed: California, Washington, Idaho, Texas, Florida and Montana.

1. Tell us you are a hero
Complete the short form on this site or call (503) 210-1480. Let us know which hero group you belong to and whether you are buying or refinancing.
2. Get pre-approved
We review your credit, income and assets, compare programs across our lender network, and issue a pre-approval letter, often within one to two business days.
3. Close with your discounts applied
Your reduced or waived loan processing fee and credit report fee appear on your Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure. Nothing to redeem, nothing to request at closing.

Housing Oregon's Heroes is a program offered by Mortgage Marketplace, offering discounts on certain fees a home buyer may incur when purchasing or refinancing a home. The discounts offered under this program are available to all applicants who request the offered discounts.
